NovaAnalytics is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our growing AI and data science team in San Francisco. You will partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to build scalable machine learning solutions that drive product improvements and business outcomes. Responsibility
- Design, develop, and productionize machine learning models for forecasting, segmentation, and anomaly detection at scale.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to define problems, identify data sources, and establish success metrics.
- Build robust data pipelines and MLOps workflows to deploy models with monitoring and governance.
- Conduct rigorous experimentation (A/B tests) and statistical analyses to validate model impact.
- Communicate results with non-technical stakeholders through clear data storytelling and dashboards.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to code reviews, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with advances in ML/AI and translate novel techniques into practical business value.
Qualification
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field; equivalent industry experience considered.
- 5+ years of hands-on data science experience, including deploying ML models in production.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; hands-on experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow) and data tooling.
- Strong command of statistics, experimental design, AB testing, and causal inference.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps tooling (model monitoring, versioning, CI/CD).
- Experience in data visualization and storytelling using tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
