Job description

Nova Metrics AI is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to accelerate our product velocity and deliver data-driven impact across customer segments. This role blends exploration, modeling, and collaboration with product and engineering teams to turn data into strategic decisions.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end data science projects, from problem framing and data collection to model deployment and impact assessment.
  • Design and implement scalable ML models (regression, classification, time-series) that solve critical business problems.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
  • Develop and maintain MLOps pipelines for model training, validation, deployment, monitoring, and governance.
  • Interpret complex results and communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive decision-making.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to building a high-performing analytics culture.
  • Monitor model performance and fairness; address drift and compliance considerations in production.
  • Stay current with advances in data science and AI; lead experimentation and continuous optimization.

Qualification

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on data science experience delivering end-to-end projects.
  • Strong programming skills in Python with libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch; proficient in SQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and building data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with MLOps tools and production model monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to explain complex results to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to translate business problems into measurable analytics solutions; portfolio or publications are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time-management skills.
