NovaQuant Analytics is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our San Francisco team. You will shape data strategy, build predictive models, and partner with product and engineering to drive measurable business impact.
As a key member of our data science group, you will own end-to-end projects from data exploration and feature engineering to model deployment and monitoring in production environments.

Responsibility
- Develop and productionize machine learning models to forecast demand, detect anomalies, and optimize pricing.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to translate business goals into data-driven solutions.
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, feature stores, and model deployment workflows.
- Perform rigorous experimentation, feature engineering, and model selection to maximize business impact.
- Interpret model results and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders with clear data storytelling.
- Monitor, evaluate, and governance of deployed models, including A/B testing and bias detection.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to code quality, documentation, and best practices.
Qualification
- Masterβs or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on data science experience with Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL.
- Strong experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and model evaluation techniques.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and MLOps tooling for model deployment and monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and project management abilities.
- Experience with data visualization tools and storytelling to drive product decisions.
