Job description
ByteDance is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join Internal Audit in Singapore. This role focuses on Model Risk and Data Analytics to strengthen risk controls and provide independent assurance across the company.
As a key member of the Internal Audit team, you will design data-driven solutions to quantify model risk, monitor model drift, and illuminate control weaknesses. You will own end-to-end analytics—from data extraction and feature engineering to model validation and executive dashboards that tell a clear risk story.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Finance, and Compliance to define risk indicators, set thresholds, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and business partners, enabling data-driven decisions that protect ByteDance’s assets and reputation.
We value intellectual curiosity, rigorous methodology, and a strong commitment to data governance, reproducibility, and scalable analytics. If you are excited by solving challenging risk problems with cutting-edge techniques, this is the place for you.

Qualification
- 6+ years of experience in data science, preferably with financial risk, internal audit, or regulatory contexts.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
