Job description
InnovateCloud Tech is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Seattle to architect, implement, and run scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You’ll partner with software engineering, security, and SRE teams to deliver reliable, secure, and cost-efficient systems that scale with business needs.
This role emphasizes automation, observability, and collaboration across teams to support rapid product delivery while maintaining excellence in reliability and security.
Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP) with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Automate provisioning, deployments, monitoring, and incident response; implement SRE practices and reliable services.
- Establish security controls (IAM, least privilege, secret management) and ensure compliance readiness.
- Drive observability initiatives with metrics, logging, tracing, and dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Collaborate with software engineers to optimize performance, cost, and scalability of cloud resources.
- Mentor junior engineers and codify DevOps best practices across teams.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in DevOps or SRE roles; strong Linux/Unix systems and scripting (bash, Python).
- Proficiency with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker; experience with Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing, plus monitoring and log management (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenTelemetry).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards; familiarity with IAM, secrets management, and encryption.
- Authorized to work in the United States or appropriate visa status for on-site or hybrid work.
