Join NovaCloud Technologies, a fast-growing cloud-native company redefining how teams deploy and operate scalable services. We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and optimize our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role is based in Berlin, with hybrid onsite flexibility.
You will partner with software engineers, platform teams, and information security to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable systems across AWS, Kubernetes, and our modern toolchain.
Responsibility
- Architect and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS (EKS) and on-prem hybrid environments, ensuring reliability and security.
- Define and enforce infrastructure as code using Terraform and configuration management with Ansible or similar.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance, cost, and resiliency with Prometheus, Grafana, and cloud-native tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline release processes, implement blue/green and canary deployments, and reduce lead time.
- Implement security best practices, IAM policies, secret management, and incident response processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive DevOps best practices across the organization.
Qualification
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or SRE experience in cloud-native environments.
- Strong expertise in AWS (EKS), Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud security.
- Proficiency with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation tooling (Ansible, Chef).
- Experience with CI/CD platforms and GitOps workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD).
- Proficient scripting in Bash and Python; comfortable with Linux systems.
- Monitoring and logging fundamentals (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills; English fluency required, German a plus.
