Job description
NovaTech Innovations is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our fast-growing technology team in San Francisco. You will design and manage scalable infrastructure, automate deployments, and drive reliability across our platform.
This role requires hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines. You will partner with product and engineering teams to deliver robust, secure, and observable systems.

Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid, safe deployments.
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Ansible, and related tooling.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) to ensure observability.
- Lead incident response, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement of fault-tolerance.
- Collaborate with software engineers to optimize deployment, release, and rollback processes.
- Establish security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering experience.
- Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and infrastructure as code.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and automation mindset.
- Experience with monitoring/observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
