Northwind Cloud Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our cloud platform team. In this role, you will design and operate robust, scalable infrastructure that powers global customer deployments. You will collaborate with software engineering, security, and product teams to streamline delivery and improve reliability.
We value hands-on problem solvers who are passionate about automation, cloud-native architectures, and incident response. This is a full-time position based in Seattle, with flexible hybrid options.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and release strategies
- Collaborate with software, security, and SRE teams to optimize deployment processes
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, and/or CloudFormation
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
- Ensure reliability, security, and cost-efficiency across AWS (primary), with multi-cloud awareness
- Lead incident response, post-incident reviews, and runbooks development
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices for DevOps maturity
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in DevOps/SRE with strong Linux background
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP also acceptable)
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Strong IaC experience (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker
- Solid experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
