Job description
We're seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to join our cloud-native team in San Francisco. You'll design and operate scalable, secure infrastructure and empower product teams with automation and reliable delivery pipelines.
In this role, you'll own cloud architecture, CI/CD, configuration management, monitoring, and incident response. You'll collaborate with Platform, Security, and Development teams to reduce toil and accelerate software delivery.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP) to enable rapid, safe software releases.
- Architect and operate containerized infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, and related tooling for high availability and performance.
- Automate configuration, provisioning, and drift detection with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Build robust monitoring, logging, and incident response systems to improve MTTR and reliability.
- Collaborate with Security, Platform, and Development teams to enforce security controls, secrets management, and compliant deployments.
- Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years in DevOps or SRE roles with hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred).
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native tooling.
- Proficiency with IaC and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) and strong automation background.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI) and version control workflows.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go) and a problem-solving mindset.
- Security-first mindset with experience in secret management, IAM, and access controls.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
