Skyward Cloud is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our high-velocity engineering team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will design and automate scalable infrastructure, implement robust CI/CD pipelines, and drive reliability and performance in production environments. You will collaborate with software engineers, SREs, and platform teams to deliver secure, observable, and cost efficient systems.

Responsibility
- Own the end-to-end DevOps lifecycle, from code commit to production release, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins and GitLab, Terraform, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS with exposure to GCP or Azure; implement IaC and automated resource management.
- Build and maintain observability with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry; implement centralized logging and tracing.
- Implement robust security practices, including secrets management, IaC security, and access controls.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on on call rotations, incident response, post incident reviews, and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- 5+ years of DevOps experience in cloud native environments.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Proficient with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with ability to work in a fast paced environment.
