NovaTech Solutions is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our London-based team. This role blends cloud platform engineering with automation, delivering scalable CI/CD pipelines and robust infrastructure. As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with software engineers, SREs, and security teams to drive reliability and performance across cloud-native applications.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines with Git-based workflows and containerized deployments.
- Architect and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and release processes while ensuring security and compliance.
- Build and maintain observability through metrics, logging, and tracing using Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks.
- Collaborate with development teams to drive performance, reliability, and resilience strategies across services.
- Lead incident response, runbooks, and post-mortems; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize cloud costs and capacity planning across multi-cloud environments.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and playbooks.
Qualification
- 5+ years of DevOps or SRE experience in cloud-native environments.
- Deep expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP and infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration; strong Docker skills.
- Proficient in CI/CD tooling and automation scripting (Python, Bash, or similar).
- Strong background in monitoring, logging, and incident response; familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks.
- Security-minded with knowledge of IAM, secrets management, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence and mentor peers.
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) or equivalent experience.
