Responsibility
- Develop and implement digital archiving strategies and workflows
- Manage metadata modeling using standards such as Dublin Core, PREMIS, and METS
- Oversee ingestion, normalization, quality assurance, and validation of digital assets
- Ensure compliance with records management policies, privacy regulations, and legal requirements
- Lead preservation planning, format risk assessments, and migration strategies
- Collaborate with IT, librarians, and curators to design scalable archive infrastructure and access services
- Develop and maintain documentation, training, and governance policies
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in digital archiving, records management, or a closely related area
- Strong knowledge of metadata standards (Dublin Core, PREMIS, METS) and OAIS reference model
- Proficiency with archival software and tools (Archivematica, ArchivesSpace, Islandora) or equivalent cloud-based platforms
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement preservation workflows and risk assessment
- Experience with data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills
