NovaCart Digital is seeking a Senior E-commerce Platform Engineer to join our fast-growing team. This role blends engineering excellence with customer-focused problem solving to deliver delightful online shopping experiences.
As part of our platform team, you will own the architecture, performance, and integrations that power multiple brands across desktop and mobile. You will collaborate with product, design, marketing, and data teams to translate business goals into robust, scalable solutions.

Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of a scalable, headless e-commerce platform that supports multiple brands and channels.
- Collaborate with product, design, and marketing to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and security; implement observability with metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Integrate payment gateways, tax, orders, inventory, and shipping APIs; steward data quality across catalogs and pricing.
- Build data pipelines for product data, pricing, promotions, and merchandising to enable seamless catalog management.
- Mentor and lead a small team of engineers; drive CI/CD, code quality, and engineering best practices.
- Ensure accessibility, SEO alignment, and cross-browser compatibility across devices.
Qualification
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and operating e-commerce platforms or large-scale web applications.
- Proven proficiency with Node.js, React, GraphQL or REST APIs; experience with headless commerce frameworks is a plus.
- Hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes); strong CI/CD practices.
- Strong SQL and NoSQL skills; data modeling and warehousing basics for product catalogs and pricing.
- Experience integrating payment providers, shipping APIs, tax engines, and inventory systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to influence across teams.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices, analytics (GA4), and experimentation (A/B/n).
