Responsibilities, tools, and professional standards you’ll work with include: glossary management, CAT tool proficiency (SDL Trados, MemoQ), terminology research, and rigorous QA checks to ensure native fluency and accuracy.
Responsibility
- Translate complex content from English to Spanish with accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Localize content for target markets while maintaining brand voice and tone.
- Build and maintain bilingual glossaries and termbases.
- Leverage CAT tools (SDL Trados, MemoQ) for efficient translation workflows.
- Collaborate with project managers, editors, and subject matter experts to meet deadlines.
- Perform in-context QA and proofreading to ensure high quality deliverables.
- Participate in style guide development and consistency checks across projects.
- Mentor junior translators and provide feedback to improve quality.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional English-Spanish translation experience, preferably in tech, legal, or marketing sectors.
- Proficiency with CAT tools (SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ) and terminology management.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail; ability to handle complex terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
- Experience with localization and cultural adaptation for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and style guides.
