Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations of forestry management projects, ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement sustainable timber harvesting and reforestation plans.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary field team, promoting safety and excellence.
- Monitor forest health and biodiversity, utilizing advanced GIS and data analysis tools.
- Coordinate with governmental agencies, landowners, and stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to executive leadership.
- Optimize resource allocation and manage budgets effectively.
- Drive innovation in forest management practices and community engagement.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or related field.
- Minimum 7 yearsâ experience in forest management or silviculture.
- Demonstrated leadership of project teams in a forestry setting.
- Familiarity with using GIS software and remote sensing technologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal and state forestry regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Professional Forester registration (preferred).
