What you’ll do:
Responsibility
- Collaborate with product and design to define and implement user-centric frontend features.
- Build reusable, scalable UI components using React and TypeScript.
- Translate UX requirements into clean, accessible, and high-performance code.
- Own quality through unit, integration, and visual regression testing.
- Partner with backend engineers to integrate REST/GraphQL APIs efficiently.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and architecture decisions.
- Improve performance, accessibility (a11y), and responsive design across devices.
- Drive iterative delivery with a startup mindset and strong PRD alignment.
Qualification
- 5+ years frontend development with a focus on React/TypeScript.
- Proven track record shipping production-grade applications in startups or scale-ups.
- Strong knowledge of modern frontend tooling (Webpack/Vite, ESLint, Prettier) and CI/CD.
- Experience with CSS-in-JS, design systems, and responsive/adaptive UI.
- Familiarity with REST/GraphQL, testing frameworks (Jest, RTL), and end-to-end testing (Cypress).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- On-site or hybrid work setup in Austin, TX; remote-friendly arrangements available for exceptional candidates.
