Join AstraNova Digital as a Remote Senior Frontend Engineer. This fully remote role is centered in Austin, TX, with the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. You will design and implement high quality, accessible UI components and collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ship features that scale.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will influence frontend architecture, write clean, scalable code, and drive best practices across the team. You will contribute to our design system, ensure excellent performance, and be a mentor to junior engineers.
What you will do as part of the team:
Responsibility
- Build and maintain responsive UI components using React and TypeScript
- Collaborate with designers to translate wireframes into high quality, accessible code
- Own frontend architecture decisions and contribute to the design system
- Implement unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure reliability
- Optimize applications for speed, performance, and accessibility (WCAG)
- Review code, mentor peers, and promote best practices
- Collaborate with backend teams to integrate services and APIs
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of frontend development with React and TypeScript
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with modern tooling (Webpack/Vite, ESLint, Prettier)
- Hands-on experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive mindset
- Understanding of accessibility standards and responsive design
