NebulaForge Studios, a cutting edge game studio in Seattle, is seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our growing team. You will architect and implement core gameplay systems, collaborate across disciplines, and help ship high quality titles for PC and consoles. Responsibility
- Design and implement core gameplay systems across PC and console platforms, from combat to progression and AI behavior.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other engineers to realize gameplay vision with high quality and performance targets.
- Lead architecture decisions for gameplay systems and ensure clean, maintainable code with robust test coverage.
- Optimize for low latency, scalable networking, and smooth framerates across devices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a healthy engineering culture and best practices.
- Prototype bold ideas and rapidly iterate based on playtests and feedback.
Qualification
- 5+ years of gameplay programming or engine development experience in shipped titles.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and scripting languages; experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 and or Unity.
- Solid understanding of animation, AI, physics, networking, and performance profiling.
- Excellent problem solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Experience with version control, build systems, and collaboration in cross functional teams.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience.
