Responsibility
- Greet clients with warmth, conduct consults, and tailor services to individual goals and hair needs.
- Perform precision haircuts, styling, and blowouts with consistent quality and efficiency.
- Provide advanced coloring services (balayage, foiling, color corrections) while prioritizing hair health.
- Uphold sanitation and safety standards, sterilize tools, and maintain a clean workstation.
- Nurture client relationships, build a loyal book, and optimize the client experience to drive retention and referrals.
- Collaborate with colorists and assistants to deliver seamless service and timely appointments.
- Upsell services and premium retail products aligned with client goals and budget.
- Stay current with trends through ongoing training and contribute to team education.
Qualification
- Valid state cosmetology license (New York) or equivalent; must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- 5+ years of professional hairstyling experience in premium salons or busy boutiques.
- Expertise in precision cutting, advanced coloring techniques (balayage, foiling), and texture services.
- Strong client consultation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a high-volume, loyal clientele.
- Excellent sanitation practices and knowledge of safety standards.
- Proficiency with professional tools, products, and retail strategy; comfort with technology for bookings and records.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and peak salon hours.
