We are seeking a Senior Horticulturist to lead plant production, propagate, and optimize greenhouse operations. This role blends hands-on cultivation with leadership, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with sales and R&D to deliver exceptional crops.
As a key member of our horticulture team, you will oversee propagation, cropping schedules, IPM programs, climate control, fertigation, irrigation, sanitation, and quality assurance. You’ll mentor technicians, coordinate seasonal staffing, and implement sustainable practices to maximize yield while maintaining plant health and quality.

Responsibility
- Lead day-to-day production schedules for container and plug production
- Oversee greenhouse climate control, irrigation and fertigation programs
- Manage staffing, training, and performance of horticulture technicians and contract labor
- Monitor plant health, diagnose disorders, implement integrated pest management (IPM)
- Ensure crop quality, labeling, and traceability; maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Collaborate with sales, R&D, and procurement to optimize varieties and production planning
- Analyze production data and adjust practices to improve yield, quality, and resource efficiency
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of greenhouse or controlled-environment horticulture experience
- Strong knowledge of climate control, fertigation, irrigation systems and crop scheduling
- Proven expertise in integrated pest management and plant health care
- Experience supervising and developing a diverse horticulture team; strong communication skills
- Proficiency with greenhouse management software and data analysis; ability to translate metrics into action
- Available to work flexible hours during peak seasons; ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
