Nova Capital Partners, a leading investment firm focusing on private equity and asset management, is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join our NYC team. You will evaluate investment opportunities, build financial models, and contribute to deal execution with a data-driven approach.
As a Senior Investment Analyst, you will work closely with portfolio managers and deal teams to evaluate opportunities, construct robust financial models, perform due diligence, and support investment decisions with clear, data-driven insights.
Responsibility
- Source and screen investment opportunities across private equity and asset management, conducting initial due diligence and market analysis.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models (DCF, LBO, comps) to assess IRR, NPV, and risk-adjusted returns.
- Prepare investment memos and present findings to senior leadership and investment committees.
- Perform industry and company due diligence, including financial analysis, KPI mapping, and management interviews.
- Collaborate with portfolio teams on value creation plans, monitoring, and exit strategies.
- Conduct risk assessment, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing to inform decision-making.
- Support deal execution, including coordination with legal, compliance, and external advisors; manage data rooms and information requests.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in investment analysis, private equity, or asset management.
- Strong financial modeling skills (DCF, LBO, comparables) and Excel mastery; knowledge of Python/SQL a plus.
- Experience with investment due diligence, valuation, and deal execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex analyses clearly.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and deal data rooms.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
