Renesas is seeking a resultsâdriven Senior IT Analyst to join our Bayan Lepas, Penang team. This role partners with crossâfunctional IT and business units to ensure smooth dayâtoâday operations while actively driving strategic initiatives that enhance system performance, reliability, and business outcomes.
In this role you will bridge business needs with technical solutions, contributing to the design, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise applications. You will support manufacturing and commercial operations across the Penang region and collaborate with global IT teams to influence decisions that impact efficiency and value delivery.
This position offers exposure to a broad IT portfolio, including incident management, data analysis, system enhancements, and project delivery. You will translate requirements into actionable plans, ensure quality, and drive change with minimal disruption to operations.
Key focus areas include IT operations, application support, data governance, and stakeholder communications to enable informed decision making.
- Provide dayâtoâday IT operations support to business units and manufacturing processes in Bayan Lepas.
- Gather user requirements and translate them into practical technical specifications and project plans.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve incidents across enterprise applications, ensuring timely restoration of services.
- Collaborate with crossâfunctional teams to design, test, and deploy system enhancements and new features.
- Participate in IT project delivery, including planning, tracking, risk management, and postâimplementation reviews.
- Assist with change management, documentation, and knowledge transfer to support teams.
- Monitor system performance, perform data analysis, and implement optimization strategies to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Support data governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication to enable informed decision making.

Responsibility
- Provide day-to-day IT operations support to business units and manufacturing processes in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
- Gather and analyze user requirements, translating them into technical specifications and project plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across enterprise applications, networks, and endpoints to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Software Development, and Business Analysis teams to design and deploy system enhancements.
- Lead or participate in IT projects from initiation to deployment, ensuring quality, scope control, and timely delivery.
- Support change management, system documentation, and knowledge transfer to support teams.
- Monitor performance metrics, conduct data analysis, and implement optimization strategies for reliability and efficiency.
- Assist with data governance, reporting, and stakeholder communications to enable informed decision making.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of IT analyst or related experience, preferably in manufacturing or technology environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Experience with enterprise applications and ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management).
- Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting; familiarity with BI tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of network concepts, security best practices, and IT governance.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in Penang and support local operations; willingness to contribute to regional initiatives.
