NovaScale IT Consulting is seeking a Senior IT Consultant to join our growing team in San Francisco. You will guide clients through cloud migrations, digital transformation initiatives, and security improvements that drive measurable business outcomes. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic advisory, stakeholder management, and hands-on delivery.
As a trusted advisor, you will partner with C-suite and IT stakeholders to define vision, roadmaps, and architectures; design modern cloud solutions; and lead multi-disciplinary teams to successful delivery. Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end IT consulting engagements from discovery to delivery across cloud, data, security, and transformation programs.
- Collaborate with clients to define IT strategy, architecture roadmaps, governance models, and KPI measurement.
- Design and implement cloud architectures on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; select platforms, tools, and migration paths with security-by-design.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risk, and stakeholder expectations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Develop compelling business cases, ROI analyses, and value propositions to secure buy-in from executives and sponsors.
- Mentor and coach junior consultants; facilitate workshops and executive briefings; present complex concepts clearly.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA) throughout engagements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5+ years of IT consulting, solutions architecture, or delivery experience.
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with hands-on project experience.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and client-management skills; ability to translate tech concepts into business value.
- Proven track record delivering cloud migrations, digital transformations, and IT strategy programs.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA) and best practices.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and/or work in a hybrid remote model as required.
