Responsibility
- Design, implement, and operate scalable cloud and on-prem infrastructure (servers, storage, networks) that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Lead migration and modernization projects across platforms (AWS/Azure, virtualization, containerization).
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using IaC and DevOps practices (Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD).
- Collaborate with software engineers, security, and SRE teams to ensure reliability, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
- Establish and enforce security baselines, patch management, and disaster recovery plans.
- Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and promote best practices in IT operations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive improvements.
- Maintain documentation and runbooks to support efficient incident handling and knowledge transfer.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of IT infrastructure and operations experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), virtualization, networking, and OS administration (Linux and Windows).
- Proven experience with IaC and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Solid understanding of security practices, identity and access management, and incident response.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to influence across teams.
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP) are preferred.
