InnovateTech Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our Texas-based team. This role offers the opportunity to shape our modern infrastructure across on-prem and cloud platforms, driving performance, security, and reliability for a growing portfolio of products.
As a senior contributor, you will partner with DevOps, Security, and Product teams to deliver robust IT solutions with a focus on automation and SRE principles.
Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable IT infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage, networks, and security controls.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) to automate provisioning and change management.
- Collaborate with security and DevOps to implement identity, access controls, monitoring, and incident response.
- Drive performance optimization, capacity planning, and cost management.
- Develop and enforce IT operations runbooks, patch management, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers; lead project teams and provide technical leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement, licensing, and lifecycle management.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of IT systems engineering experience across Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong cloud experience (AWS or Azure; multi-cloud is a plus).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) and automation scripting (Python, PowerShell).
- Solid experience with networking, DNS, VPNs, firewall rules, IAM, and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response; familiarity with SIEMs.
- Relevant certifications (AWS/Azure/SOC) are a plus; excellent communication and collaboration skills.
