Responsibility
- Lead the development of mathematical models for real-world problems across finance, risk, and optimization.
- Translate domain requirements into formal specifications and algorithms.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy models in production.
- Validate models using simulation, backtesting, and robust statistical methods.
- Publish findings in internal reports and external venues; mentor junior researchers.
- Lead experimental design, data collection strategies, and performance metrics.
- Communicate results to non-technical stakeholders with clear visuals.
Qualification
- PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; or MS with substantial research portfolio.
- Strong theoretical foundation in linear algebra, probability, statistics, optimization, and numerical analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB; experience with scientific computing libraries.
- Experience with machine learning methods and their mathematical underpinnings.
- Proven track record of independent research, publications, or patents.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to explain complex concepts to non-experts.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and ethics in research.
