Job description
We are a fast-growing technology company delivering enterprise-grade networking solutions. We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to architect, deploy, and optimize scalable networks for a diverse client base in Austin and beyond.
In this role, you will collaborate with security, cloud, and operations teams to design resilient, high-performance networks, implement automation, and drive improvements in network reliability and security.
Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise WAN/LAN networks across multiple sites and data centers.
- Lead routing and switching infrastructure, including BGP, OSPF, QoS, and VLAN routing for large-scale networks.
- Architect and implement SD-WAN, VPNs, and remote access solutions to support distributed workforces.
- Implement network security controls, firewalls, ACLs, and IDS/IPS integrations to protect critical assets.
- Develop automation and IaC scripts (Python, Ansible) to reduce manual tasks and accelerate deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents; perform post-mortems and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams; create design docs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
Qualification
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and data-center environments.
- CCNP or JNCIP certification; CCIE preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IPv6, QoS, multicast, and routing design.
- Experience with Cisco IOS-XE/NX-OS or Juniper Junos; familiarity with SD-WAN technologies.
- Automation and scripting experience (Python, PowerShell); familiarity with Ansible or Terraform.
- Solid understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and API integrations.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills; able to lead technical discussions.
