Job description
Join NovaNet Systems as a Senior Network Engineer and lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise-grade networks. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic planning to ensure robust, scalable, and secure connectivity across WAN/LAN, data centers, and cloud integrations.
As a core member of our networking team, you will collaborate with security, cloud, and operations to architect solutions that support performance, reliability, and business goals.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and optimize routing and switching architectures for enterprise networks, including data centers and branch offices.
- Lead network deployments of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless infrastructure.
- Manage secure connectivity using VPNs, SD-WAN, and cloud interconnects (Azure, AWS, and GCP).
- Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement QoS and traffic engineering.
- Collaborate with security to implement segmentation, firewall policies, and threat prevention integration.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and change management processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews and network standards.
- Participate in incident response, disaster recovery planning, and post incident analysis.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering in large‑scale enterprise environments.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and IPv6; strong routing and switching fundamentals.
- Proficiency with routing and security platforms from Cisco and Juniper, and firewall technologies (ASA, Fortinet, Palo Alto).
- Experience with data center networking, VPNs, SD‑WAN, and cloud connectivity (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Strong familiarity with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and analytics tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetFlow, PRTG).
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent.
