Responsibility
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise WAN/LAN architectures across multiple sites and cloud integrations.
- Lead network modernization initiatives (SD-WAN, intent-based networking, automation) to improve performance and resilience.
- Configure and manage core technologies (routing, switching, firewall, VPN, load balancers) and ensure security best practices.
- Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning for critical networks.
- Collaborate with security, platform, and site reliability teams to implement zero-trust and segmentation strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews for network automation scripts, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support as part of a rotating schedule and document standard operating procedures.
Qualification
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and operating large-scale enterprise networks.
- Strong expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPv6, and multicast routing.
- Extensive experience with Cisco IOS-XE (or NX-OS), Juniper Junos, and Palo Alto/ Fortinet security platforms.
- Proficiency in network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, REST APIs) and familiarity with SDN/SD-WAN tooling.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, GCP) and hybrid connectivity design.
- Strong troubleshooting and packet analysis skills using Wireshark and related tools.
- Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/EX, or equivalent) are a plus.
