Job description
NovaLink Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize high-performance networks for enterprise clients. This role blends hands-on networking with strategic engineering to ensure scale, security, and reliability across data centers and cloud integrations.
In this role you will work cross-functionally with security, cloud, and application teams to deliver resilient network infrastructure that supports business-critical workloads.
Location: San Jose, CA
Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise networks across data centers, campuses, and cloud integrations
- Manage routers, switches, load balancers, and firewall policies to ensure reliability and security
- Lead network architecture discussions, capacity planning, and disaster recovery planning
- Troubleshoot complex network incidents with root-cause analysis and timely remediation
- Implement and manage SD-WAN, VPNs, and secure connectivity to cloud environments
- Collaborate with security, cloud, and application teams to implement best practices and standards
- Mentor junior engineers and drive documentation, change control, and QA processes
- Maintain and improve network performance dashboards and KPIs
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in large-scale enterprise environments
- Certifications: CCNA required; CCNP or equivalent advanced certification preferred
- Strong experience with Cisco IOS (and alternatives like Juniper), routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), and switching
- Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and secure network architectures
- Proficiency with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization (Wireshark, NetFlow, SolarWinds)
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
