This is a hands-on role requiring strong engineering skills, collaboration with security, platforms, and operations teams, and a passion for scalable, secure network infrastructure.
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will architect, implement, and optimize routing, switching, firewall, and WAN solutions. You will lead network design reviews, implement automation, monitor performance, and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable enterprise networks including data centers, campuses, and WANs with Cisco/Juniper equipment.
- Configure and manage routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, VPNs, firewall policies, and QoS across multi-site networks.
- Lead network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and incident response with disciplined change control.
- Develop and maintain network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tooling to reduce manual toil.
- Collaborate with security and platform teams on risk mitigation, compliance, and zero-trust initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers, review designs, and ensure thorough documentation and runbooks are up to date.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating enterprise networks.
- Strong expertise with Cisco IOS/NX-OS, ASA/Firepower, and Juniper Junos; CCNP or higher preferred.
- Deep understanding of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN technologies, and data center fabrics.
- Experience with network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, or similar).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills; ability to work across time zones.
