NorthPoint Global Networks is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize scalable, highly available enterprise networks across data centers, cloud, and remote sites. Responsibility
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network architectures across data centers, cloud regions, and remote offices.
- Manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF/IS-IS), switching fabrics, VPNs, and WAN connectivity with high availability and performance targets.
- Lead network automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, or similar tooling to reduce manual toil and accelerate deployments.
- Implement robust network security controls, firewall policies, segmentation, and zero-trust considerations in collaboration with security teams.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to network incidents using industry-standard tools; perform root-cause analysis and post-mortems.
- Plan migrations, capacity planning, and disaster recovery for scalable cross-region environments.
- Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer, documenting architectures, runbooks, and best practices for the team.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on enterprise networking experience across data centers, campuses, and cloud networks.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, CCNA, or equivalent vendor certifications; experience with Palo Alto/Checkpoint firewalls and Juniper/Arista gear.
- Strong proficiency with routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EVPN), QoS, VRFs, IPsec VPNs, and WAN optimization.
- Hands-on experience with network automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Ansible).
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS/VPC or Azure VNets), SD-WAN, and load balancers.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills; ability to lead and document complex architectures; on-call rotation.
