- Troubleshoot complex network outages, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate cross-functional incident response.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and tooling (Python, Ansible) to improve reliability and speed.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, runbooks, change control processes, and asset management.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience in large-scale enterprise or data center environments.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent; vendor-specific expertise (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet) a plus.
- Deep knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), MPLS, VPN technologies, and IPv6.
- Experience with SD-WAN, SDN, and cloud networking tools; familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work cross-functionally with security, cloud, and DevOps teams.
- Demonstrated ability to design secure and highly available networks with good change control and documentation practices.
