Job description
NovaNet Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize complex enterprise networks. This role focuses on data center routing/switching, WAN, and security infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions, monitor performance, and advocate best practices.
In this role, you will drive network strategy, engineering standards, and incident response processes to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across the organization.
Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise network solutions (routing, switching, data center fabrics).
- Manage and optimize WAN/LAN infrastructure, VPN, firewall, and security policies.
- Plan and execute network migrations, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to integrate AWS/Azure networking and SD-WAN.
- Deploy and maintain network monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
- Develop and maintain network topology diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best-practice adoption across the team.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- At least 5 years in enterprise networking with hands-on experience in routing, switching, and data center fabrics.
- Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, and/or similar) preferred.
- Strong expertise in Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Juniper Junos, firewall technologies, and VPN solutions.
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets) and SD-WAN technologies.
- Proficiency with network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform) and monitoring systems (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, migrate configurations, and document processes clearly.
