Job description
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade networking infrastructure. Based in Seattle, this role blends hands-on engineering with strategic oversight, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across on-prem and cloud networks.
As a key member of our Global Networking team, you’ll collaborate with security, cloud, and application engineering to deliver resilient and scalable connectivity for mission-critical services.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and operate enterprise LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud network architectures.
- Configure and maintain routing/switching (Cisco IOS/XE, Juniper Junos), VPNs, and firewall policies.
- Lead network performance optimization, traffic engineering, QoS, and capacity planning.
- Manage network monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Collaborate with security to ensure secure network design, segmentation, and compliance.
- Drive automation using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to reduce manual toil.
- Work with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) to design hybrid and multi-cloud networks.
- Document designs, runbooks, and standard operating procedures; mentor junior engineers.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on networking experience in enterprise environments.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP/JNCIE; DevNet or similar is a plus.
- Extensive routing/switching experience (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and VLANs, NAT, and ACLs.
- Hands-on with Cisco IOS/XE and Juniper Junos; firewall administration (Cisco ASA, FortiGate, Palo Alto) and VPNs.
- Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible) and IaC (Terraform).
- Experience with public cloud networking (AWS VPC/Direct Connect, Azure VNet, GCP) and hybrid networks.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
