Job description
NovaNet Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and optimize scalable networking solutions for global clients. This role blends hands-on engineering with strategic planning to ensure high availability, security, and performance across data centers, campuses, and cloud connectivity.
As part of our networking team, you will own complex networking projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with security, cloud, and application teams to deliver reliable connectivity.
Responsibility
- Design and implement scalable routing and switching architectures (BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN) across data centers and WANs.
- Plan and operate WAN/LAN infrastructures, including data center interconnects and cloud connectivity.
- Lead network automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, and programmable APIs to reduce manual toil.
- Troubleshoot complex network incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive permanent fixes.
- Collaborate with Security and Cloud teams to enforce zero-trust, segmentation, and firewall policies.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to a culture of documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with stakeholders to roadmap network modernization, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Cisco IOS/XE and Juniper Junos; proficient CLI, SNMP, and telemetry.
- Deep expertise in BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS, QoS; exposure to data center fabrics.
- Experience with data center, WAN, and cloud networking, including SD-WAN.
- Proficiency in network automation with Python, Ansible, or similar tools; scripting for automation and telemetry.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills; able to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP/JNCIE certifications preferred; active pursuit encouraged.
