At Apex Networks Solutions, we design and manage enterprise grade networks that power mission critical applications for leading organizations. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to join our Seattle based team. This role blends hands on engineering with strategic design, cross team collaboration, and a focus on security and reliability.
In this role you will architect, deploy, and optimize networking infrastructure across LAN, WAN, data centers and cloud connections. You will lead initiatives from discovery through deployment, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvements.
Responsibility
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise networking infrastructure including routing, switching, and wireless components across multi site environments.
- Lead network projects end to end from requirements gathering to deployment and validation.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
- Configure and manage security controls, VPNs, firewalls, and segmentation aligned with governance policies.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, and data center teams to ensure resilient, scalable connectivity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, standards, and documentation for network architectures and operations.
- Mentor junior engineers, participate in capacity planning, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands on experience in enterprise networking, with a proven track record delivering reliable networks.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP or equivalent must have or be actively pursuing.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, multicast, and IP addressing concepts.
- Experience with firewall technologies (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPN solutions.
- Experience with SD WAN, WAN optimization, and network automation using Python or Ansible is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets) and hybrid cloud connectivity is preferred.
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills to work across teams and with clients.
