Job description
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Network Engineer to join our growing IT team. This role designs, builds, and maintains scalable network architectures that support secure, high-performance connectivity for our global users and data centers.
As a member of our Networking group, you will collaborate with security, cloud, and on premise operations to ensure reliability, optimal throughput, and robust disaster recovery. This is a hands on role requiring deep expertise in routing, switching, and network automation.
Key focus areas include data center interconnects, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, monitoring, and performance optimization. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions in a fast paced environment.
Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and optimize enterprise network architectures across on premises and cloud environments.
- Implement routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and switching strategies to maximize reliability and efficiency.
- Build and maintain secure remote access, VPN, and zero trust garden architectures.
- Lead network automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, or similar tooling to reduce manual tasks.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate incident response.
- Collaborate with security and cloud teams to enforce policies and improve threat resilience.
- Plan capacity, conduct risk assessments, and guide disaster recovery planning.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers; document standards and runbooks for knowledge sharing.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of hands on enterprise networking experience across data centers, WANs, and cloud interconnects.
- Strong expertise in routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, IP/TCP, and network security fundamentals (firewalls, IPS/IDS).
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN, VPN technologies, and cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Proficiency with network performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, sFlow, NPM).
- Programming or scripting skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform) for automation and orchestration.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or equivalent demonstrate a validated skill set.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams.
