Job description
NovaMesh Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate scalable enterprise networks across our multi-site infrastructure. This role focuses on reliability, security, and performance in a fast-paced, cloud-enabled environment. You will collaborate with security, DevOps, and software teams to deliver robust networking solutions.
As a member of our Network Operations team, you will lead end-to-end network initiatives, mentor engineers, and help shape our global connectivity strategy.
Responsibility
- Lead network design and implementation for data center and campus networks, including core routing, switching, and load balancing.
- Plan and execute network modernization initiatives (IPv6, MPLS, SD-WAN, and data center interconnects).
- Operate and optimize BGP/OSPF routing, VRF, QoS, and traffic engineering to meet SLA targets.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement segmentation, firewall policies, and zero-trust networking.
- Automate network provisioning and configuration management using Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and drive root-cause analysis with high-speed incident response.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices, standards, and documentation.
- Support greenfield deployments and participate in vendor evaluations for networking hardware and software.
Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking with a track record of delivering complex networks.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching (Cisco Nexus/IOS, Juniper).
- Experience with data center fabrics, MPLS, VPNs, WAN optimization, and network security.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architecture.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Industry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or equivalent; CCIE preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
