At Apex Pack Technologies, we design and manufacture next-generation packaging solutions that reduce waste, improve shelf life, and optimize cost-to-serve. We are seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead containment, protection, and sustainability projects for consumer packaged goods.
In this role you will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and procurement to translate ideas into scalable packaging systems that perform in real-world distribution channels.

Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end packaging development from concept through pilot runs and production launch.
- Design for manufacturability and sustainability, selecting materials and processes that balance cost, performance, and environmental impact.
- Plan and execute testing and validation (drop, vibration, seal integrity, barrier properties) and record results in formal reports.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to source materials, qualify vendors, and optimize supply chain performance.
- Create specifications, drawings, and bill of materials; maintain design history files and change control documentation.
- Support regulatory compliance and labeling for packaging in multiple markets.
- Analyze packaging performance data, drive continuous improvement, and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of packaging design/development experience in consumer goods or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials (plastics, paperboard, corrugated), converting processes, and barrier properties.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar) and expertise in DOE, FMEA, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives, recyclability, and regulatory considerations for packaging.
- Excellent project management, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience with supplier management, testing labs, and qualification activities.
- Ability to travel as needed for supplier visits and pilot runs (up to 15%).
