Join Apex Pack Solutions, a leader in sustainable packaging for consumer goods. We are seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead packaging design, tooling, and validation for new product launches. In this role, you will collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and operations to deliver high-performance, cost-efficient packaging solutions that protect product quality and optimize shelf impact.

As a pivotal member of our Packaging team, you’ll drive end-to-end packaging development from concept through production, balancing performance, cost, and sustainability to delight customers and protect brand integrity.

Responsibility

  • Lead packaging concept development and validation for new products from ideation to production.
  • \n
  • Design and optimize packaging structures, materials, and processes to meet performance, cost, and sustainability targets.
  • \n
  • Create and manage BOMs, specifications, test protocols, and change control using CAD and PLM tools.
  • \n
  • Plan and execute packaging tests (ISTA, environmental, drop, compression) and analyze results to ensure quality and compliance.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and procurement to deliver scalable, manufacturable packaging solutions.
  • \n
  • Drive cost reduction through value engineering, supplier collaboration, and design-for-manufacture practices.
  • \n
  • Manage packaging projects, timelines, risk assessments, and documentation for on-time launches.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • \n
  • 5+ years of packaging design/engineering experience in consumer goods.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo) and PLM/BOM systems; strong technical documentation skills.
  • \n
  • Hands-on experience with packaging testing methods (ISTA, drop, compression, vibration) and validation protocols.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of materials (plastics, corrugate, paperboard), sustainability, and regulatory considerations (FDA/GMP) where applicable.
  • \n
  • Strong project management, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills; willingness to travel as needed (up to 15-20%).
