Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end packaging design from concept to production, ensuring performance, cost, and sustainability targets.
  • Collaborate with R&D, operations, sourcing, and quality assurance to implement scalable packaging solutions.
  • Perform DFMA analyses, materials selection, and vendor evaluations to optimize cost and performance.
  • Develop and validate packaging test plans, run DOE studies, and manage root-cause investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards (FDA, REACH, RoHS, etc.) for applicable products.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including lightweighting, recyclability, and circular economy strategies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; MS preferred.
  • 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in consumer goods or industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record in design for manufacturability, DFMA, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with materials selection, barrier properties, and sustainability considerations.
  • Strong CAD skills (e.g., SolidWorks) and familiarity with packaging simulation tools.
  • Experience with supplier management, GMP/quality systems, and regulatory compliance (FDA, REACH, RoHS as applicable).
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as needed.
