NovaPack Solutions is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead innovative packaging development for consumer goods. This is a high-visibility role partnering with R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain to deliver sustainable, cost-effective packaging solutions from concept to commercialization.
What you’ll do: design and validate packaging concepts, select materials, and ensure regulatory and quality requirements are met. Drive iterative testing, cost-down initiatives, and supplier collaborations while maintaining project timelines.

Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end packaging development projects from concept through production launch.
- Design and validate packaging structures, materials, and processes for cost, sustainability, and performance goals.
- Partner with R&D, purchasing, and manufacturing to finalize specs, BOMs, and process flows.
- Coordinate testing (DFMEA, physical/chemical testing, environmental stress tests) to meet quality standards.
- Manage supplier relationships, qualify new materials, and oversee pilot runs.
- Iterate designs based on performance data and customer feedback to optimize cost and recyclability.
- Ensure compliance with packaging regulations, labeling, and sustainability reporting.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across functions to meet product deadlines.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Packaging, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years in packaging development, with experience in consumer goods or FMCG.
- Strong proficiency in CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and packaging simulations; experience with BOM management.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives, material selection, and recyclability assessment.
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines (FDA, EU packaging regs) and testing standards.
- Proven track record delivering scalable packaging solutions on-time and on-budget.
