Job description
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Packaging Engineer to lead the design, testing, and commercialization of innovative packaging solutions for consumer goods. You will partner with product, supply chain, and suppliers to deliver packaging that protects products, enhances brand experience, and drives cost savings.
At NexaPack Solutions, you’ll own end-to-end packaging development—from concept through validation and pilot runs to full-scale production. You will apply materials science, packaging standards, and state-of-the-art CAD tools to deliver scalable packaging systems that meet regulatory and sustainability requirements.

Responsibility
- Lead packaging design from concept to production release, including material selection and structural optimization.
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand guidelines, functionality, and cost targets.
- Drive sustainability: assess recyclability, lifecycle impact, and implement eco-friendly packaging solutions.
- Manage supplier relationships with packaging materials, converters, and manufacturers; evaluate capabilities and negotiate.
- Create and maintain packaging specifications, testing protocols, and validation plans; oversee testing (ISTA, drop, compression, seal integrity).
- Lead scale-up activities, pilot runs, process validation, and issue resolution in manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with labeling, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of packaging experience in consumer products; knowledge of rigid and flexible packaging.
- Strong proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling; experience with PLM/ERP systems.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage timelines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with packaging testing (ISTA, drop tests, compression, seal integrity) and validation.
- Knowledge of sustainability standards and lifecycle assessment; track record of reducing environmental impact.
- Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
