We are looking for a Senior Packaging Engineer who can lead packaging development from concept through commercialization, collaborating across design, sourcing, and manufacturing.
In this role you will define packaging architecture, drive cost and sustainability improvements, and ensure packaging performance meets regulatory and quality standards. You will influence material selection, testing strategies, and supplier relationships to deliver best in class packaging solutions.

Responsibility
- Lead end to end packaging development from concept to launch for new products
- Collaborate with product design, brand, procurement, and manufacturing to define packaging architecture
- Create and maintain packaging specifications, BOMs, and testing plans
- Assess materials, performance, sustainability, and cost trade offs
- Conduct pack integrity, drop, vibration, and shelf life tests per standards
- Manage external packaging suppliers and support vendor qualification and audits
- Implement optimization projects to reduce packaging weight and enhance recyclability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, labeling, and safety requirements across markets
Qualification
- Bachelors in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years experience in consumer product packaging development
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials (flexible, rigid, laminates) and conversion processes
- Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks or ArtiosCAD) and packaging design software
- Experience with testing methods such as ISTA and environmental tests
- Excellent cross functional collaboration and communication skills
- Project management experience with ability to manage multiple programs
- Strong problem solving and data analysis skills
