NovaPack Solutions is a leading provider of innovative packaging for consumer goods. We are seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer to drive packaging design, optimization, and sustainability across our product portfolio. In this role, you will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to deliver cost-effective, high-performance packaging that enhances product protection, shelf appeal, and environmental responsibility.
As a key member of the Packaging Engineering team, you will own end-to-end packaging programs from concept through production, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company quality policies. You will lead trials, supplier evaluations, and cross-functional reviews to accelerate time-to-market while safeguarding product integrity.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, testing, and commercialization of primary and secondary packaging for multiple SKUs.
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to optimize form, function, and cost.
- Validate packaging materials, performance, regulatory compliance, and sustainability criteria.
- Manage packaging BOMs, supplier qualifications, and cost reduction programs.
- Coordinate pilot runs, scale-up trials, and change management for new launches.
- Develop and maintain packaging standards, specification sheets, and labeling requirements.
- Implement DFx, DFM, and design-for-recycling initiatives to improve environmental impact.
- Provide mentorship and training to cross-functional teams on packaging best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of packaging design/engineering experience in consumer goods or e-commerce packaging.
- Proficient with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo) and packaging simulation software.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, and sustainability objectives.
- Experience with BOM management and ERP systems (SAP or Oracle).
- Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs, meet deadlines, and travel up to 15% as needed.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
