Responsibility
- Lead the design and development of primary and secondary packaging solutions for assigned product lines.
- Translate product requirements into scalable packaging concepts, materials, and processes.
- Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure feasibility, quality, and cost targets.
- Own packaging performance testing, DOE studies, and PFMEA risk assessments.
- Prototype, iterate, and validate packaging concepts using DFM principles and supplier engagements.
- Champion sustainability initiatives, including material selection and end-of-life considerations.
- Create and maintain design specs, BOMs, and packaging dielines in collaboration with suppliers.
- Support scale-up and launch activities, including pilot runs and post-launch optimization.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in packaging development for consumer goods.
- Strong proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, SPACE CLAIM) and packaging design software.
- Demonstrated experience with DOE, design for manufacturability (DFM), PFMEA, and prototyping.
- Knowledge of materials science, laminates, corrugates, and environmental considerations.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with GMP/regulated environments is a plus.
