Join Phoenix Corporate Advisory Malaysia as a Senior Payroll & Admin Executive, supporting a diverse portfolio of outsourced clients from our Kuala Lumpur office. This role combines payroll processing with essential administrative support to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely deliverables for our clients’ workforce.
You will lead end-to-end payroll operations, maintain master data integrity, manage statutory contributions such as EPF, SOCSO, and PCB, and handle year-end tax filings with precision. You’ll collaborate closely with client HR and finance teams to deliver exceptional service within agreed SLAs while safeguarding confidential information.

As part of your responsibilities, you’ll supervise junior staff, produce payroll reports, handle payroll reconciliations, and stay updated on Malaysian payroll regulations and tax changes. You’ll also participate in process improvement initiatives and support onboarding for new clients.
Ideal candidates are self-motivated, have excellent communication skills in English and Malay, and possess a strong knowledge of payroll software and HRIS. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR, plus relevant payroll experience in outsourcing, is preferred.
Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of outsourced clients, ensuring on-time and accurate disbursements.
- Maintain master data integrity and ensure timely updates to payroll inputs and deductions, including EPF, SOCSO, PCB, and tax withholding.
- Prepare and review payroll calculations, benefits, allowances, and year-end tax filings with accuracy and compliance.
- Generate and reconcile payroll reports; provide insights to clients and internal teams to support decision making.
- Coordinate with client HR and finance teams to address inquiries and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Supervise and mentor junior payroll/admin staff; contribute to training and quality assurance.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualification
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; professional payroll experience in outsourcing preferred.
- 3-5+ years of payroll experience in Malaysia; solid knowledge of EPF, SOCSO, PCB, and LHDN requirements.
- Proficient in payroll software and HRIS; strong Microsoft Excel skills; data analysis and reporting experience.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong communication skills in English and Malay; client-facing abilities with a professional demeanor.
- Professional payroll or HR certification preferred; continuous improvement mindset.
