Job description

EnergyNova Solutions is seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer to drive reservoir optimization and field development for a portfolio of onshore and offshore assets. You will lead technical assessments, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with geoscientists, drilling, and production teams to deliver high-value projects on schedule.

What you’ll do: design and evaluate development plans, build and calibrate reservoir models, conduct decline curve analyses, and supervise production optimization initiatives. You will also ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and sustainable, cost-efficient operations.

Responsibility

  • Lead reservoir characterization, simulation, and history matching to optimize recovery and economics.
  • Develop field development plans (FDPs) and integrated plans for brownfield and greenfield projects.
  • Perform economic evaluations (NPV, LCOE, IRR) for project screening and post-audits.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across production, reservoir, and facilities teams.
  • Coordinate with drilling, completion, HSE, and geoscience teams to align drilling programs with reservoir management strategies.
  • Participate in risk assessments, technically justified decision-making, and asset optimization reviews.
  • Ensure data integrity, prepare technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Monitor field performance and implement production optimization measures using troubleshooting and analytics.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in reservoir engineering, production optimization, and field development planning.
  • Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, PETREL-based workflows).
  • Strong understanding of drilling, completions, facilities, and produced-water management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project-management skills; PE license is a plus.
  • Experience with data analytics, flow assurance, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
