Responsibility
- Design, execute, and optimize advanced experiments in quantum materials and photonics.
- Lead data collection, processing, and statistical analysis to draw robust conclusions.
- Collaborate with engineers to translate experimental insights into deployable technologies.
- Mentor graduate students and junior researchers; contribute to grant writing and project planning.
- Publish results in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
- Develop and maintain rigorous documentation, SOPs, and data management plans.
- Manage lab safety, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
- Contribute to strategic planning for research roadmap and resource allocation.
Qualification
- PhD in Physics or a closely related field; track record of influential research in quantum physics or photonics.
- 7+ years of hands-on experimental research experience in a university or industrial setting.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, R) and experimental software (LabVIEW, COMSOL).
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage budgets, and mentor team members.
- Excellent scientific communication skills; demonstrated success in publishing and presenting at conferences.
- Experience with vacuum systems, cryogenics, optics, and detector instrumentation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers and software developers in a fast-paced environment.
- U.S. work authorization or ability to obtain it.
